Here we are 15 days into 2014; a perfect time for me to do a quick check in of my New Year’s resolutions, also known as A Resolution, a Goal, and a Promise.
To catch you up to speed, they are:
- Pay less attention to my phone
- Blog more
- Think positive!
The Phone: I am paying less attention to it, but really, I could leave it behind a little more. This one is turning out to be more of a work in progress and is taking a little more effort than I anticipated.
Blog more: Is this thing on? I think about my blog every single day, but finding the time to dedicate to it is proving difficult.
Think Positive: YES! I’m so doing this. The other day during my evening commute, I was in the crankiest mood over work and I stopped my internal complaining and forced myself to find as many silver linings as I could. Also, the other day when I was feeling particularly grumpy, I took a short walk and made myself think about the things I’m thankful for. Positive thinking doesn’t always come naturally, especially when I’m in a mood, but I’ve found it really helps me turn things around. So, I’m going to keep at it!
How are your 2014 goals and resolutions coming along?
